Welcome to the Dolphin.php file manager home page!

Dolphin.php is free open source file manager, which requires PHP (with iconv extension installed). It was known as PhpFM, but, because there is one more PhpFM, it was renamed.

I (Yuriy Nasretdinov) decided to start from scratch and write the new version of PhpFM (earlier it was called PhpFM 3.0). Dolphin.php has 2 versions: light and full. They are being developed now, so some things (especially design) may change a little.

The aim of Dolphin.php file manager is to provide simple, fast and usable interface to manipulate files via Web. It can use both internal PHP functions for file management and FTP when it is needed.

The most stable version now is Dolphin.php 0.1 RC0, available at download page. You should not be afraid of version number, as there are many features, that are coming soon (they are not included in the stable version), and I decided not to call this version "1.0 beta", or something like that. 0.1 RC0 is stable enough, but I'm going to make it even much better.

P.S. One of the features to come in version 1.0 (or, maybe, 1.5) is "multipart" technology, that I develop now. This technology will allow to overcome all possible restrictions on execution time of PHP scripts, and you will get the truly powerful interactive tool to manage files. "Multipart" is not realized in the latest stable version, so Dolphin.php may "drop" if you execute too consuming operations (e.g. you want to copy 10Gb file from one place to another).
